Structured Settlement Annuities

I have a family member that has passed and she had multiple very large annuities and none of the existing relatives can find them. How do you find the annuities? Thanks!

there should be some paperwork lying around somewhere or statements coming in the mail otherwise you might have to start calling companies with a death certificate, social security number, etc. in hand. Some of the major companies offering annuities are vanguard, fidelity, tiaa-cref in addition to just about every life insurance company out there. if you can find any paperwork from those sources in the house or safe deposit box, it will hopefully lead you to the source. good luck and make sure you own wills, powers of attorney and letters of instruction are up to date. this will save your survivors the same aggravation you are going through now.
